Thirsty Thursday Blog Round-Up: NaNoWriMo Edition 1

This week is the start of NaNoWriMo. For that reason, I am going to be sticking to the short list for the the Thirsty Thursday Blog Round-Up for the next four weeks. Some will include NaNo info, some will be the regular info. Either way, I am going to be keeping these posts down to seven links until the end of November.

For those NaNo’ers that have decided to take a break from blogging in order to devote your time to your novel, check out these badges made by Sommer Leigh.

How about a tip a day to help you on your NaNo journey from GalleyCat.

I’ve posted this before, but since it is relevant at this point in time, I’m sharing it again. Chuck Wendig’s 25 Things You Should Know About NaNoWriMo.

Larry Brooks is one of the main people to listen to when trying to improve your craft. At, he has provided us with 3 Edgy Little Trips to Make Your Story More Compelling.

Fear is a common thing with writers, but K.M. Weiland has come up with 10 Fear Busters for Writers.

And finally we come to Sue Bradford Edwards. In her article at Writer’s Digest online, she tells us How to Avoid Parenting Your Characters.

That’s it for today. Tune in again next week for another Thirsty Thursday Blog Round-Up… NaNo style=)

About Katie Doyle

Katie Doyle is an avid reader, writer of NA and Adult fiction, a mom to two tornadoes that resemble an eight and six year old, and pet to a tuxedo cat named Oz and a German Shepherd/Boxer rescue named Charlie. If she's not reading, writing, or getting Oz out of a tree, she's screaming at characters on TV and trying not to curse around her kids.

Happy NaNo Day Five! I'm glad you liked the badges!!Hopefully the initial excitement is still going strong, but if not I've come with a toolbox of inspiration. Ready? First, quote of the day: Don't give up what you want most for what you want right now. Second, NaNo Tip of the Day: Don't forget to reward yourself. It is often easier to notice our lagging word count numbers than to notice how far we've already come. Good luck!!! Just keep writing!!!
